Khia's version was originally called "Lick My Neck, My Back." The main premise of the song is about cunnilingus as well as anilingus and had to be heavily edited for public broadcast. While the original version of the song contained explicit lyrics, a mitigated edit was used for radio broadcasting and the video.
The video for the song, directed by Diane Martel, was released during the spring of 2002[4] and shows Khia at a barbecue. In the UK, a different video was used, which did not feature Khia herself, but instead a group of bikini-clad models washing a Hummer H2 in a sexual manner while lip-syncing the words of the song.
Lil Wayne raps about "My Neck, My Back (Lick It)" on his 2008 song "Comfortable" featuring Babyface. Juvenile's 2004 U.S. number-one single "Slow Motion" featuring Soulja Slim contains a sample of the song. Rapper Too Short recorded a response to the song entitled "My Dick, My Sack" from a man's point of view. Richard Cheese covered the song.[5]
"My Neck, My Back" is featured on the Dark Angel soundtrack.[6] The track is also featured in the film The Door in the Floor starring Jeff Bridges.
The song was also used in an episode of the HBO series "Lucky Louie" with Louis CK. In the episode, Louie and his wife are shocked when their four-year-old daughter danced to the song.
Daniel Tosh references the song in an episode of the T.V. series, Tosh.0 (Season 3: Episode 15).
"My Neck, My Back" was also featured on the official soundtrack for the 2011 movie "Pariah" that premiered in theatres late December. The song is #1 on the soundtrack.
The official remix, "My Neck, My Back (Lick It)" (Roc-A-Fella Remix), featuring rapper Memphis Bleek. The remix was released as an edited version.
